  1. Day 1 Arriving in Paro

    Arriving in Paro and do some sightseeing. You will visit National Museum, housed in the Ta
    Dzong (watchtower) has interesting collection of artefacts provide a wonderful introduction to
    the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom. Next will be Paro Dzong, is a fine example of
    Bhutanese historic architecture and this fortress was built in 1645. Now a day the fortress is
    divided into two sections, one for religious sector and another for administration.

  2. Day 2 Hike to Taktshang (Tiger Nest)

    Hike to Taktshang monastery as good acclimatisation for the trek. Taktshang Monastery (Tiger
    Nest) is located at top of about 900 meter cliff in Paro. It takes slightly more than an hour and a
    half to reach the monastery on foot from the nearest road point. Taktshang or the Tigers lair as
    the monastery is widely regarded is one of the most important in Bhutan.

  3. Day 3 Trek Day1- Paro to JeleDzong

    Today’s trail is a long but fairly gentle ascent. A clear day offers a bird’s eye view of Paro valley.
    Camp is at 3536 m. (4 hours)

  4. Day 4 Trek Day2- JeleDzong to Tsaluna

    Descend through silver fir, pine, and rhododendron and hemlock forest to camp nearby a small
    river at about 3000 metres. We can also visit TsaluNey, a small 14th century temple, where the
    Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated. (5 to 6 hours)

  5. Day 5 Trek Day3- Tsaluna to Phajoding

    Climb to PumoLa at about 3400 metres. About two hours after the pass we will reach Phajoding
    at 3750 metres where we will camp. Numerous meditation centres and temples are scattered
    across the hillside and the large buildings of Phajoding monastery are just below the campsite. (5
    to 6 hours)

  6. Day 6 Trek Day4- Phajoding to Thimphu

    The final day’s trail to Thimphu descends steeply through blue pine forests (2 to 3 hours)

  7. Day 7 Thimphu to Punakha

    Thimphu to Punakha

  8. Day 8 Return to Paro

    Return to Paro

  9. Day-9 Drive to airport

    Early in the morning your guide will accompany you to the Paro International Airport to see you
    off onto your flight and wish you Tashi Delek (goodbye and good luck).
